Timely Instruction
Yamaha Music Foundation has completed much research illustrating that a child's ear develops most rapidly between the ages of four and six (as shown in the graph below). Since hearing development is so closely related to learning music, this is the ideal time to start developing music skills.

With each age group, the teaching approach, pace, and the learning sequence varies. The Yamaha approach guarantees maximum effectiveness for our student’s learning.
Comprehensive Programs

Our courses focus on developing well-rounded musical skills. Instrumental performance, ear-training, rhythm-training, harmonizing, improvising, composing, note-reading, sight-reading, score writing, music appreciation, and music theory are all part of our education method.
All course materials are composed uniquely for Yamaha. Different styles of music are incorporated into every curriculum, including classical, jazz, rock, latin, ballads, and folk.
Yamaha courses are taught the same way in more than 40 countries internationally. Our curriculum and teaching methods undergo constant revision and evolution, to reflect the latest developments in music education. All Yamaha teachers undergo rigorous and strict training to ensure uniformly high quality of teaching around the world.
Group Lessons

Yamaha courses are taught as weekly group lessons. At each lesson, students have an opportunity to show progress in the company of supportive classmates. Technical obstacles are overcome as a class, and a strong sense of musicianship and sportsmanship is developed. In our positive group environments, students are motivated to focus, improve, and move onto the next level of learning as a team.
Repertoire and accompaniments are recorded. During the lessons, teachers are free to check on the performance of each student, make appropriate suggestions for improvement, and give praise for a job well-done.
Group lessons are fun! In these lessons, solo, unison, and ensemble playing are encouraged. Our students love performing as small bands or orchestras for special projects, in-class recitals, and year-end concerts!
We plan to continue providing all Yamaha programs, festival opportunities, and examinations to ensure our students receive the best music education here.
School Facilities and Instruments
Each of the
Our group classrooms feature the newest Yamaha keyboards and digital pianos. These state of the art, touch-sensitive instruments allow each student to explore a wide range of instrumental sounds, and rhythmical possibilities. Each student is seated at his or her own keyboard of choice for every lesson.
Our students are encouraged to purchase Yamaha musical instruments, to ensure the same performing experience at home and at the lessons. Selected keyboard models can be purchased through our school. *Please e-mail or telephone about the keyboard rebate program*
