Introducing Ms. Armiluz Taningco
Armiluz Taningco believes that as a teacher she has a unique opportunity to connect and inspire every student around her. She makes every music experience both rewarding and enjoyable. She works diligently in the field of piano instruction with joyfulness, cheeriness, lightheartedness, and an encouraging approach that inspires most of her students to love music and develop a commitment to piano study.
Born in the Philippines, Armiluz showed a keen interest in music at an early age and attended the Conservatory of Music at the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest university in the Philippines and one of the most prestigious in the country.
Armiluz received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with Piano as her major instrument. She later supplemented that with courses in Choral Conducting, Ethnic music and Physical Education. Her passion for the past 28 years has been teaching. She has taught in the Philippines and in Calgary, with years at Irene Besse Keyboards. She is also in demand for different ceremonies, competitions and social events. She is currently a faculty member of Musica Academy.
