Introducing - Charles Nelson, Guitar

Charles first picked up the guitar around campfires while camp counselling with the YMCA.  He subsequently studied classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Calgary.  While later studying humanities and outdoor pursuits at the University of Calgary, he performed in their stage big-band, as well as in various jazz ensembles.  Returning to classical routes, he studied with Brad Mahon at Mount Royal University, obtaining a Grade 5 classical guitar certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music.   Adding dimension, he also studied flamenco with Holly Blazina while at Mount Royal.  As well, he is trained in the Yamaha method.

For the last 5 years, he has taught private lessons and is currently a teacher at Musica Academy.  He continues to love playing songs around campfires.
