Introducing: Ms Johanna Kwan - Yamaha, Piano
Johanna has been playing piano since the age of
4. She has obtained her ARCT Performance
diploma and Teachers diploma through the Toronto Royal Conservatory of
Music. She also holds a bachelor of Social Work degree and is currently
working at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area. Johanna has been teaching piano for 14 years
with students ranging from age 3 to adult. She has been involved in
Kiwanis festivals, concert band and jazz band playing percussion and trumpet.
Johanna has experience teaching Kodaly and Orff and is currently working on
attaining her licentiate in piano performance with the Royal Conservatory of
Music. Johanna has completed her Yamaha Grade 5 in Fundamentals and Piano. She
is enthusiastic about teaching and loves engaging her students in fun-filled
learning. Her goal is to integrate Music and Social Work in community
development. Johanna enjoys playing ensemble music and has been active in a
handbell choir for 6 years.
