Introducing: Ms Pauline Yu - Yamaha
Pauline Yu is currently pursuing a Bachelor of
Arts in Music from the University of Calgary and hopes to pursue a career as a
music teacher. She is an enthusiastic
musician with the goal to create a positive and relaxing learning environment for the children
she works with. She began her piano studies at age 7 and had received many
years of formal piano instructions from Lucia Chu and Jackie Law. En-route to
her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music designation, Pauline has performed in
recitals and has competition experience through the Kiwanis festival. Pauline
has completed all the theory and history requirements for her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory
of Music. She was an alto singer for the University of Calgary Chorus for 3
years and performed in concerts locally and in Saskatchewan. Additionally,
since 2009, she has been offering private piano lessons to young children.
Aside from music, Pauline has a strong passion for language and is fluent in
English, Cantonese and Mandarin. As a Musica Academy teacher, Pauline is
inspired to work with young children and help them to develop their love of
music
and enhance their musical ability. She loves being
around children and enjoys her time working at Musica Academy.
