School Terms & Policy

REGISTRATION FEE

There is a registration fee of $55 for all students per school year (Sept-Aug). This covers administrative & concert fees. The registration fee is non-refundable.

PROCESSING FEE

This is a non-refundable $45.00 processing fee charged per school year. This covers the costs associated with processing debit and credit transactions.

TRANSFER FEE

A $35.00 transfer fee and a 2-class notice period are required when a student transfers to a new lesson/day/time/instructor after September 30th for students starting in the fall semester and after March 1st for students starting in the winter semester.

NSF FEE

There will be a $35.00 Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee one week after the office notifies the client, and an additional $2.50 per day if the late payment is not received after one week.

LATE FEE

There will be a $35.00 late fee charged for monthly tuition fees received after the 7th of every month. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of every month.

MISSED LESSON POLICY

Group lessons are NOT eligible for make-up lessons if students are unable to attend. Homework can be given for the missed class upon email request. If the teacher cancels the class, a substitute teacher will be provided, or a make-up lesson will be scheduled. Private students are required to provide 24-hour notice to be eligible for make-up classes. Last-minute cancellations are not eligible for make-up lessons. A maximum of 3 make-ups per year are guaranteed.

WITHDRAWAL AND CANCELLATION POLICY

A 4-class written notice is required to withdraw from all Musica Academy programs. The remaining tuition fees will be refunded after the 4-class notice. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals submitted after December 1st for full-year students or after March 1st for half-year students. Students paying monthly/by installments are required to pay any outstanding fees (including the 4 classes), regardless of attendance.

COPYWRIGHT/MEDIA POLICY

Musica Academy reserves the right to use any photos, videos, or similar materials for the school’s publicity and marketing.

SUSPENSION OF STUDENTS

Musica Academy reserves the right to suspend students for non-payment of tuition or misconduct.

CANCELLATION OF INSTRUCTIONS

Musica Academy Yamaha School Ltd. reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel class dates, locations, schedules, and instructors as necessary, without liability other than to refund tuition fees received for lessons cancelled due to such withdrawal/cancellation.
